Successful launch of elumatec AG

elumatec started the new year successfully as a public limited company. “The transition was completed with no difficulties and there have been very positive reactions from our customers,” summarised Ralf Haspel, board member slated to take on responsibility for the area of Sales and Marketing. A further positive signal to the market cited by Tobias Hoefer, Supervisory Board Chairman, is the appointment of production-technology and mechanical-engineering expert, Arash Esbati, to the board in the capacity of overseeing Technology and Production.

The transfer of the running business operations together with the required assets from the “old” elumatec GmbH to elumatec AG went according to plan. “From my perspective, the start of the AG has been successful. In particular, customer reactions have given me reason to be confident that elumatec’s enterprise value will increase over the medium term,” emphasises Britta Hübner, who is the elumatec AG board member responsible for Finances and Administration.

In the production department at the Mühlacker location, the transition from the GmbH structure to the AG was hardly noticeable. Customers and suppliers had already been informed of the changes affecting them before Christmas so there was already positive feedback from that quarter.

Positive market signals
Ralf Haspel, long-time board member responsible for Sales and Marketing, is a symbol for management continuity at the leading worldwide manufacturer of machines for processing PVC, steel and aluminium profiles.

In addtion, Arash Esbati, a recognised expert in the area of production management and mechanical engineering, is joining the team as the new board member responsible for Technology and Production at elumatec. The 42-year-old diplomaed engineer specialising in mechanical engineering and production technology has been active in responsible positions in the German industrial world for more than 12 years. Most recently, he was the head of an enterprise with more than 200 employees operating in the machine tool manufacturing sector for the automobile industry.

“I believe that Mr. Esbati’s decision to join elumatec in the capacity of board member responsible for Technology and Production is a positive sign and a signal to the market. “He will certainly set new accents in the company and we expect these to bring new earnings potential in the future,” said Tobias Hoefer, supervisory board chairman, during the presentation of the expanded AG board.

According to current plans, elumatec AG is expected to turn the corner with a positive result in 2014 following a strategic reorientation (new products, a strengthened sales department, improved performance in the subsidiaries and branches, more professionalism in the service business) and to achieve sustainable, profitable growth as of 2015.

With an equity ratio of over 90 percent and very good liquidity, elumatec AG is already well situated for these coming tasks. The orders in hand are also at a stable, high level.
